What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender - GA Casino Beverage (Full Time) position at Bally's?
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bartenders must be friendly, helpful and courteous when dealing with all guests.
- Responsible for monies in the coin banks.
- Prepares orders taken from the cocktail staff and guests.
- Keeps inventory of stock in their assigned bar.
- Notifies barbacks when supplies are low.
- Prepares cut fruit, condiments, etc.
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Bally's from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally's Attendance Policy.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. This includes all shifts, weekends and holiday periods.
- Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma general education (GED).
- Previous money handling and guest service experiences preferred.
- Must be TIPS certified within first 30 days of employment.
- Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
- Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people.
- Strong tactical skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
- Able to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.
