Night Production Supervisor
Job Overview:
Join Balthazar Bakery in Englewood, NJ as an Evening Production Supervisor. We are looking for individuals with strong backgrounds in supervisory roles in large scale bakery production. The ideal candidate will be organized , enthusiastic, and motivated by working within a team to produce the finest baked goods.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize tasks, set an example for the team, and maintain clear and effective communication.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations including GMP, HACCP, and our high standards throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address any equipment issues to minimize disruptions.
- Monitor inventory levels and liaise with the purchasing department as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in commercial baking or food processing.
-experience with naturally-fermented bread, laminated dough, or experience in a commercial bakery
- Proficient in food safety practices, HACCP principles, GMP standards, and a commitment to ensuring staff compliance.
-Schedule:
- 8-10 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays (as needed)
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
-Basic computer competency
- Familiarity with food processing operations and sanitation practices within a manufacturing plant.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with team members at all levels.
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation.
