What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAC Mech I Welder position at Baltimore Aircoil Company?
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ability to read and access paperwork and submittal drawings
- Follow standard work.
- Have been welding coils for a year.
- Capability to understand quality standards and seek out issues on the line to communicate to Station Leader.
- Capable of flexing to all stations, as needed, i.e. benders, Orbital weld, test coils, and special coil connection welding.
- Perform a variety of welding tasks) including, but not limited to: Reading, interpreting, welding, and fabricating BAC parts from certified prints; do water-tight welding and also able to repair coils.
- Have the job knowledge to run the benders, program new circuits, and maintain the equipment.
- Understanding of basic Lean Principles of 8 Wastes and 5S program. The ability to contribute new ideas and sustain these processes.
- Must consistently demonstrate good performance in the area of productivity, safety, and overall work habits.
- Ability to fill-in for the Station Leader, directing and training a group of Mechanics.
- Basic knowledge of computers including but not limited to Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Team leader, Plant superintendent or Plant manager.
- Must have good attendance. This requires applicant not to have been on the points system in the previous year.
- Ability to work any shift if needed.
