Essential Functions
- Receive visitor and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Print visitor badge by accessing information system
- Review and monitor cameras
- Makes rounds of building to ensure that doors and windows are secured and lights and equipment are turned off
- Makes rounds of grounds using city vehicle
- Maintains daily log of all activities during assigned shift; completes reports of accidents or other incidents
- May participate in evacuation procedures for fire, bomb threats or other emergencies
- Secure building in emergency situations
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school boards policies, the professional standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Maryland Class D Noncommercial driver's license is required for positions in the Department of Recreation and Parks
- Required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information from the Maryland State Police
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to interact effectively with others
- Ability to interpret evacuation procedures
- Bilingual highly desired
