Essential Functions
- Monitors student activities on school premises.
- Alerts school police and school administrative staff to potential disruptions or incidents.
- Participates in student take-in and dismissals.
- Monitors activity in the cafeteria during lunch periods.
- Monitors hallways while classes are in session.
- Submits verbal and written reports as required.
Required:
- Must authorize release of prior employment, credit history, and criminal conviction information
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must pass drug test, background record investigation and federal, state and local fingerprint checks
- Ability to communicate effectively with school personnel and students
- Ability to effectively interact with school personnel and students
- Ability to respond to emergency situations while maintaining composure and demonstrating appropriate professionalism and restraint at all times
- Ability to climb stairs, stand and walk for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent
