Schedule:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. All library administrative staff may be required to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the year as part of the normal work schedule.
Job Summary:

- Develops partnerships with organizations and agencies that provide small business services.
- Develops methods to effectively collaborate with these groups to provide programming and resources to customers and development opportunities for library staff.
- Develops information for the Library's website and handouts for customers.
- Plans and presents programs on business-related topics to the public, including programs focused on small business support and development for veterans, justice-involved and immigrants.
- Develops collaborative methods to connect these populations with library resources and provide access and instruction.
- Provides one-on-one assistance to customers in branches, virtually or by phone.
- Creates and conducts presentations to businesses, organizations meetings and events.
- Stays current on trends within the business world.
- Develops resources with and for library staff such as resource sheets and guides.
- Trains and supports library staff on issues affecting our small business community, including demystifying small business reference and referrals and identifying ongoing training needs.
- Creates and conducts presentations to staff on the Library's business resources.
- Must be able to meet scheduling requirements by arriving to work on time and staying until the end of one's shift.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be flexible with one's work schedule to meet the daily operational requirements.
- Must have access to transportation, as needed, to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, including meetings, events and activities at other branch locations or offsite.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or Associates degree and four (4) years of related experience.
- Coursework in Business, Communications, Marketing or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, public speaking experience.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch and stretch for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and or walk for up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to read small print.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
We have a 14 step pay scale. Internal applicants starting pay varies based on their current step on the salary scale. We also offer, as appropriate, overtime pay, comp. time, and differential pay.
