The Woodlands and Diamond Ridge Golf Courses are located in Windsor Mill Maryland. This 36-hole facility is an important part of the Baltimore County Golf group. The 6,500 square foot clubhouse plays host to more than 80,000 rounds per year. The event pavilion hosts more than 5,000 outing rounds per season. The facility offers a 45-station driving range, two (2) practice putting greens and a chipping green with a practice bunker. Both courses are championship designs but are very different from each other in layout and design.
Overview
The Apprentice Golf Professional will assist with the management of the Golf Shop, training and scheduling part-time/seasonal staff, provide lessons to customers, booking tee times, cashiering, merchandising and tournament operations.
This is a great opportunity to learn at a very busy 36-hole facility with the goal of creating an outstanding golfing experience for each player.
In addition to assisting with all day-to-day operations, this position will have assist with tournament operations, merchandising, annual pass holder relations, junior golf and much more.
We are looking for a driven individual with excellent customer service skills. The individual should possess a team-oriented approach and a desire to treat each guest to the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Head Golf Professional on day-to-day operations
- Assist in all aspects of merchandising
- Assist in the management of a team of 30 employees
- Assist in the management of a 150-golf cart fleet with TFM GPS technology
- Offer quality instruction through individual lessons as well as a variety of clinics
- Assist in the implementation and execution of the tournament program
- Willing to dedicate themselves to continuing their education
Experience
- Must have completed level one of PGM program with the goal of becoming a PGA Member
- Minimum of one year of experience working in golf operations
- Maintain good standing with the PGA of America, complete all necessary MSR requirements
- Previous experience as a golf instructor preferred to assist with the demand for golf lessons
- Conduct and operate with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS software

Base Salary: $43,888 plus opportunity to earn income from lessons and junior camps.
