Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) federal program requirements. Collects data, identifies trends, performs statistical analysis, and prepares reports to be used by departmental management for analysis of efficiency, program development and other purposes.EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides comprehensive and ongoing analysis to ensure compliance with HUD federal program requirements for administering housing assistance.
- Researches and collects data needed to monitor trends, patterns, and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conducts in-depth analysis of the Housing Office operations and procedures.
- Evaluates overall program success and recommends modifications as necessary.
- Prepares a weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and annual report on leasing activities
- Monitors lease-up standard and ensures it conforms to current voucher renewal regulation and unit allocation.
- Coordinate with Program Manager to assess use of subsidies under contract and units under lease, and make recommendations to achieve and maintain maximum utilization.
- Monitors compliance with program submission to HUD’s Public Information Center (PIC).
- Evaluates and tests appropriate use for data maintained in Elite.
- Conducts quality control of files per staff person.
- Provides guidance and direction to staff on processes, procedures and guidance on HUD federal regulations
Plus
Four years of progressive experience working with federally assisted housing programs.
(An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for qualifications noted above.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Working knowledge and understanding of the Housing Choice Voucher and Project Based Voucher Programs, Housing Quality Standards and HUD regulations, procedures and guidelines.
• Skills in performing statistical analysis of data and presentation of findings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak and write effectively.
• Skills in using computer packages to manage data and produce reports.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
