Shifts Available:
Monday thru Friday: 9 AM- 5 PM or 3 PM- 11 PM
Every other Saturday or Sunday: 7 AM- 3 PM or 3 PM- 11 PM
Job Scope: The primary goal of this position is to provide mobile response services to youth in the Central Maryland Region. The Youth Mobile Response therapist will provide mental health services including evaluation, crisis intervention, referral, and/or treatment to youth ages 4-17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Youth Mobile Response Therapist will follow MRCSS standards and provide services in the home, schools, or at other community facilities. Each Team includes a Mental Health Therapist and a Peer. Performance is reviewed through employee supervision, evaluations, and client records. In order to achieve this goal, the following duties are expected:
- Provide a full range of crisis stabilization services and support to youth with a variety of behavior health symptoms
- Conduct behavioral health assessments for youth in crisis in central Maryland area
- Coordinate with schools, parents/guardians, family, DSS, and other youth providers
- In collaboration with a peer recovery specialist, provide appropriate crisis intervention, supportive counseling and de-escalation of clients as needed.
- Coordinate with Parent/Guardian for transportation to emergency rooms, shelters, or outpatient clinics when deemed appropriate from the assessment
- Refer youth to outpatient facilities through the open access clinics in Behavioral Health Link.
- Work with adolescent family systems.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of all clinical and client-related information
- Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Other duties as required
- Attend MCRSS training when available in Maryland.
Qualifications
Educational/ Position Requirements: Master’s degree in psychology, social work or a related field, from an accredited college or university. Candidates must have applicable Maryland State License (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C or LCPC). Candidate must be bi-lingual speaking fluently in Spanish and English. Applicant must have a valid MD Driver’s License.
Experience: Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience working with individuals in the public behavioral health system is preferable.
Physical Demands/Work Conditions/Hazards: Moderate walking, standing, climbing stairs, and sitting required. Light lifting may be needed. Transporting of clients and their belongings in agency vehicle may require minimal support and assistance depending on client needs. Will visit clients in various community settings (homes, hospitals, businesses, and streets). Office work is in a well-lighted and ventilated environment. Potential exposure to highly charged, stressful and emotional situations with the potential exposure to aggressive encounters.

Salary : $34 - $36
