The Certified Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, performing appropriate procedures, and preparing rooms & equipment. The MA is also responsible for maintaining records and interacting in a professional, friendly manner with patients & family members, physicians, staff, and visitors. This position also serves as a lead for process improvements and acts as a coordinator for lab and referral issues. This position is responsible for proactively identifying flow and other center-based issues and making recommendations for resolving the problem. The MA may be required to fill some Center Service Representative responsibilities and may be cross trained to cover other positions when needed. Work requires collaborative communication with others as it pertains to the patient’s continuum of care and clinical operations. Communication with external contacts is for providing or receiving information. Courtesy, respect, friendliness, and tact are required in dealing with customers. The Certified Medical Assistant with at least one year of clinical experience is responsible for training new medical assistants.
Hours:
Monday: 10:30AM to 7:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Wednesday: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Thursday: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
