Baltimore Teacher Network (BTN) is in search of two individuals for the position: School and Community Organizer Advocate. This position reports to the Deputy Executive Director and is responsible for all aspects of community outreach, teacher and parent engagement, event planning and training.
The role requires strong technology skills, ability to meet deadlines and conduct one-on-one meetings with school leaders, teachers and parents.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Conduct one-on-one meetings with school leaders, teachers and parents
2. Event planning and organizing
3. Report writing
4. Design teacher engagement programs
5. Community outreach
6. Maintain day-to-day contact with supervisor when in the field (out of the office)
7. Provide outreach to fifty Baltimore City Public Schools
8. Responsible for the development of teacher forums
9. Seek community / business support for BTN schools
10. Provide staff support to schools as needed
11. Conduct various trainings for teachers and parents
12. Gather articles from teachers for BTN's Newsletter - The Voice
This is a fulltime permanent position with benefits. Some travel is required. Interested candidates should send resume and sample writing.
