Data Engineer (FinOps)

Balyasny is in a period of rapid financial and technological evolution. This pivotal role within our FinOps organization will provide you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's cloud cost management, financial operations, and data-driven optimization strategies.

As a Data Engineer focusing on FinOps, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and analytics solutions to support cloud cost

management and financial operations. You will be a key member of our FinOps team, leveraging data engineering skills to ensure efficient and cost-effective cloud usage.

As a Data Engineer at BAM, you will :

• Design and implement data pipelines for cloud cost management and optimization.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from cloud platforms and financial systems.
• Create and optimize databases and data warehouses for FinOps analytics.
• Build data models and implement data visualization solutions for cloud cost insights.
• Develop machine learning models for predictive cost analysis and anomaly detection.
• Automate data collection, processing, and reporting using cloud-native tools and scripting.
• Collaborate with FinOps specialists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Implement data governance and security measures for financial and cloud usage data.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in data engineering, cloud technologies, and FinOps practices.
• Provide technical guidance on data-driven approaches to cloud cost management and optimization.
