- Demonstrate an understanding of electrical safety and all safety practices within the mill.
- Experience with 480 industrial voltage.
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Knowledge of branch circuitry.
- Familiarity with motor controls.
- Understanding of electrical theory (Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws).
- Proficiency in testing installations.
- Capability to read drawings and schematics.
- Skill in identifying electrical materials.
- Ability to set up wire pulling.
- Knowledge of wire pulling techniques.
- Capacity to test electrical components (low voltage – 24 volts).
- Enter work orders in the CMMS.
- Perform equipment preventive maintenance according to the planned schedule.
- Maintain records of equipment repairs.
- Support the development of spare parts list.
- Experience in cutting, bending, and threading rigid conduit.
- NCCR certification is advantageous.
- Conduct weekly inventory of consumables/spare parts for machine lines and provide a report to the Lead at the end of the shift.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management or Leads.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for 10 hours a day.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
