About the role:

The Senior Vice President of Software Development is responsible for providing technical leadership, to grow and develop the software development department to further the business goals of the client's Global growth plans.
He / She will be responsible for international deployments in the APAC, MENA, and European markets.
This is a full-time role and shall report to the Chief Innovation Officer.
A great candidate for this role is a technologist who is a strong people manager and is passionate about designing and scaling a successful development organization that meets the changing needs of our business.
The role requires the candidate to quickly learn and understand client's current product set and capabilities.
The SVP will work with leaders in the Development division and senior leaders from other divisions to deliver addressability in new markets.
The role requires significant travel as the SVP will need to travel to various office locations and customers.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership:

Work closely with our senior leadership team to translate our company vision and strategy into a strategy and vision for the software development department.
Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of innovative technologies and methodologies.
Establish and maintain a technology roadmap in support of product roadmap across all products that address technical debt, platform scalability, and innovation

Operational Leadership:

Provide the technical and people leadership needed to build a world-class software development organization across multiple locations. Structure, mentor, and organize a global team of software engineers to align with the strategic objectives of the company and execute the product roadmap efficiently.
Advocate for innovative, cost-efficient, and creative technology solutions. Work to constantly challenge and improve existing application platforms and processes to accelerate product capabilities to the market.
Budget and forecast of development and software application/cloud expenses.
Facilitate decision-making, impediment resolution, and consensus among team members.

Communicate and collaborate:

Interface with clients and client-facing teams to understand the customer's ecosystem and enhance partnerships.
Communicate status to executives, and escalate appropriate issues, course correction recommendations, and decisions promptly.
Work with internal business groups on opportunities, challenges, and requirements of the market to increase revenue and/or market penetration.
Regularly articulate the vision and plan to ensure alignment within the organization.
Establish relationships with vendors and other functional areas of the business.
Clearly define and communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all members of a project team. Identify recurring patterns and solutions and generalize these for broader reuse across the entire ecosystem.
Develop metrics and reports to provide ongoing progress and feedback to client's senior leadership and customer leadership.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Leader with a focus on delighting the customer.
High-caliber, energetic leader with 10-plus years of extensive hands-on software engineering experience. Deep understanding of DevSecOps.
Proven, enterprise-scale VP with experience managing and scaling engineering teams between 50- 500 engineers
Experience leading software development teams, managing priorities, and budgets, setting expectations, and delivering on commitments.
Proven track record of leading and managing organizational transformations.
Accomplishment building great teams across the globe and enhancing collaboration between teams from different cultures.
Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment.
Strategic thinker that can also execute tactics.
Knowledge of cloud computing.
Proven ability to develop a deep understanding of data and data flows in assigned stacks, interactions between and across systems, and rapid assessment of business processes that affect technology solutions.
Extensive experience with the management of complex distributed systems.
Flexible to travel internationally (Asia, Europe, etc.) 30-50% of the time.
