Job Title : Accounting Manager
Job Description :
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will manage all aspects of accounting – including payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Evaluates accounting processes and systems and implements optimizations. Directs and develops the accounting staff.

- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department
- Serve as primary legislative liaison to bank and CPA relative to company financial issues.
- ERP (Deltek) Administration & Management
- Develop and maintain a system of internal controls
- Coordinate service with outside advisors and service providers (attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, bankers, investment advisors)
- Payroll, Benefits, & Compensation Management
- Set up state Payroll Taxes
- Process biweekly payroll and accruals
- Provide reports as required for compensation and benefits-related analysis
- 401k plan administration
- Compliance
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax reports
- Coordinate with CPA to prepare city, state and federal business tax reports & filings
- Maintain business registrations / licenses
- 401k reporting
- Business insurance and bank reporting / coordination
- Accounts Payable
- Complete, verify and audit all data input to ensure accurate Accounts Payable processing
- Supervise reconciliation of credit card statements
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies
- Accounts Receivable / Billing
- Oversee invoicing system and entries; set up new clients and users
- Oversee financial management of local and foreign clients to ensure projects are set up to provide reporting necessary for government compliance
- Prepare and process deposits
- Financial Management
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the budget
- Provide Monthly Financial Reports (P&L, Office Earnings, Utilization, Sales, & Project Performance Reports)
- Work with CPA to develop year-end financials
- Planning
- Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments
- Prepare forecasted P&L and Sales Goal reports
