Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully equipped with necessary instruments.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize the efficiency of dental procedures.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, while strictly adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-treatment care instructions to ensure optimal recovery.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure smooth office operations.
- Create a welcoming, supportive environment for pediatric patients, making them feel comfortable during visits.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Previous experience in a dental assistant role, particularly in surgical settings, is highly preferred.
- Certification in radiology or experience in taking X-rays is required.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow strict safety protocols and guidelines.
