Housekeeping Position – Banana River Resort (BRR)

Location: Cocoa Beach, FL
Compensation: $650/week (Flat Rate)

Banana River Resort (BRR) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. This SALARIED (1099) position offers a consistent bi-weekly income, regardless of varying workload, making it ideal for a self-motivated individual.

Work Schedule & Expectations:

• This is a flexible schedule, salaried-based position with weekly hours ranging from 10 to 30, depending on guest check-out volume. Maximum hours are only reached during peak seasons.
• The workweek is entirely based on resort occupancy and check-out schedules, meaning some weeks may require only 2 days of work, while others may require up to 7.
• There are no night shifts, though weekends and holidays are often required based on bookings.
• Check-out time is 10:00 AM, and check-in time is 3:00 PM. All cleaning tasks must be completed during this window to prepare for incoming guests. Note, housekeeping can be on-site as early as 8 AM daily to handle in-house laundry in our communal laundry room as needed.
• The housekeeper must proactively monitor the resort’s digital reservation calendar (access provided) to manage daily responsibilities independently and efficiently.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Monitor the reservation calendar daily to anticipate check-outs and plan cleaning duties accordingly.
• Complete post-check-out cleanings of each unit with a focus on deep cleaning and readiness for incoming guests. Deep cleaning includes:

Kitchen: full cleaning including wiping out appliances and refrigerator

Bathroom: thorough sanitization of toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors

Living areas and bedrooms: vacuuming/mopping floors, making all beds, wiping all surfaces, and cleaning all windows

Restocking all in-room towels, toiletries, and supplies

• Confirm all in-room amenities are functioning properly including TVs, remotes, lamps, lighting, and air conditioning.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., replacing remote batteries or bedside light bulbs).
• Report any maintenance or property issues to the Property Manager daily to ensure swift resolution.
• Manage the in-house laundry room, including washing/drying:

Bath towels

Beach towels

Cleaning cloths used during housekeeping

Handle weekly linen vendor pickups and drop-offs:

Prepare and stage laundry items for vendor weekly pick-up

Organize and stock clean linens upon weekly return

• Submit a monthly supply order to the Property Manager to ensure consistent stock of cleaning and guest supplies.
