The Technical Lead will provide technical support and expertise within a project designated under Business as Usual projects within the branch. They will guide the development team on technical decisions, ensuring the project adheres to technical standards, and collaborating closely with the PM and PMO to achieve project goals, while maintaining a strong focus on technical implementation and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following :
Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Assist in defining the technical architecture and design for the project, providing the appropriate technologies and frameworks required
Collaborate with the PM on project planning, including estimations, timelines, and resource allocation
Monitor project progress against technical milestones and identify potential roadblocks
Proactively address technical issues and escalate critical problems to the PM and or vendor
Ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables according to project specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product management, design, and quality assurance to align on project requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Document technical workflows and technical solutions associated within the project under the guidance of the PM and IT team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage technical project deadlines
Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
Travel as required
Provide coverage for other positions as requested
Ability to carry and lift boxes and / or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION :
COMPUTER : Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Suite. The ability to operate AS400 is preferred, but not required. Ability to learn and implement new technical solutions and train service teams for BAU support. Use other software as follows :
Smartsheets, Microsoft Projects or similar project management tools as needed.
EDUCATION :
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is recommended. Work experience or certifications will be considered as alternatives to degree depending on scope.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :
Industry certifications are recommended
EXPERIENCE :
5-7 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Experience in banking applications and related support knowledge.
