Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager to join our team at Banco Popular Puerto Rico.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned portfolio by monitoring performance and trends, defining client credit solutions, identifying issues, and developing remediation, underwriting, and approving credit as designated.
- Research complex credit investigations and diverse credit information for loans.
- Approve reviews and renewals for assigned existing and new client relationships.
- Underwrite, structure, and document all prospect and client transactions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area.
- Review and identify basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables.
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal as well as external customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Seven years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, and commercial loan credit decision-making.
