For Everyone. Bancroft is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Lindens Behavioral Stablization Unit in Mt Laurel NJ.

We provides care to children and adolescents with acute behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Plans and implements classroom instruction, specializing within one or more areas of curriculum, to specifically meet the educational needs of students and to encourage the best possible student educational experience.
- Assesses abilities and capabilities of individual students; develops, organizes, and implements lesson plans and activities that are individual-specific, meet the learning needs of each student, encourage increased skills, and address specific IEP goals
- Monitors existing IEPs to ensure that stated educational goals and objectives are appropriate, achievable, and continue to meet the educational needs of individual students
- Recommends appropriate modifications to the existing IEP
- May conduct parent training in the classroom and at home
- Utilize the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis throughout observation, intervention, data collection, and assessment
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree
- Hold a Standard License in "NJ Pre-K to 3 or K to 6 or K-8"
- Hold a Standard License in “NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD)” or “Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)”
- Knowledge of teaching methods and educational programs designed for students with learning, physical and behavior disabilities.
- Effective teaching and facilitation skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills required
