JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: Material Coordinator is responsible for proper organization and allocation of materials and parts on the shop floor. They will coordinate the flow of parts, going in or out of the department as well as with outside vendors. They will be responsible for ordering parts for forecasted production. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Put parts away according to inventory system.
- Forecast all assemblies that need to be completed.
- Build packets of sub assembly builds to be completed.
- Communicate with other departments to keep requisitions filled in a timely manner.
- Use Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine upcoming parts that need to be ordered.
- Operate fork trucks, cranes and/or other equipment to move material.
- Knowledge of production processes and other techniques to effectively distribute materials/parts.
- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous work experience in related field preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and able to read a blueprint.
- Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Frequently lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds
