Bando is a global leader in manufacturing world-class power transmission belts to automotive OEMs’ as well as aftermarket distributors. Bando makes belts for 6 of the top 10 cars, and 5 of the top 10 light trucks sold in the USA today.
We are looking for a Warehouse employee for our Bowling Green, KY, facility. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for timely assisting and organizing the storage and distribution of goods and material handling in the warehouse.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Ensures all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules process required by the customer.
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the assistant manager of distribution.
- Manage order entry and preparation of customer labels and documents per customer requirements.
- Prepare International shipping documentations.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standard operation procedures standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Completes reports by entering required information.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education Required
High School diploma/GED
General Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.
Skills Required
- Experience driving a forklift in a safe manner.
- Must communicate in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized and able to prioritize.
- Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company.
- High ethical standards.
- Computer literacy.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to walk, stand, turn, climb, kneel, sit for extended periods, reach, lift, carry, push, talk, hear, and see.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job includes clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, ability to judge distance and space relationships
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on demand.
- The ability to use an office phone, cell phone, fax machine, photocopier, computer keyboard, laptop and other electronic business tools, and related software.
- Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress, adapt to and stay alert in a business environment, and use independent judgment to accomplish all duties and responsibilities.
