We are currently hiring a MICROSOFT KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST to support a federal agency.

This position offers hybrid work options. Our office is in Fredericksburg, VA right next to the Fredericksburg (FBG) Amtrak/VRE station.
Position Description:
Responsible for providing knowledge management support by implementing and maintaining Microsoft automation solutions and SharePoint Online (SPO). Uses Microsoft automation tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerShell scripting to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance efficiency within the organization. Designs and deploys automated workflows that facilitate information sharing, document management, and collaboration among team members, ultimately improving productivity and reducing manual errors. Provides comprehensive support for SPO, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting of SPO sites, lists, libraries, and workflows. Ensures that SPO environments are optimized for knowledge management by implementing taxonomies, metadata, and content classification schemes that enable efficient search and retrieval of information.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement automation solutions
· Design and develop automated workflows using Power Automate via scripts to streamline business processes such as document approvals, notifications, and data integration
· Create custom Power Apps solutions to address specific business needs, such as forms for data collection or interactive dashboards for reporting
· Integrate Microsoft automation solutions and SPO with other Microsoft 365 applications and third-party systems to create seamless workflows and data exchange
· Manage all content on SPO site
· Configure and maintain SPO sites, including site collection settings, permissions management, and site architecture design
· Manage SPO lists, libraries, content types, and metadata to ensure consistency and ease of information retrieval
· Monitor SPO usage and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for optimization
· Develop and implement content management strategies within SPO, including organizing, categorizing, and tagging content for efficient search and retrieval
· Support the implementation of governance policies and compliance measures within SPO to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance
· Enforce data retention and archival policies, managing access controls, and auditing user activities to maintain governance standards
· Provide ongoing support and assistance to users, answering questions, resolving issues, and providing guidance on best practices for knowledge management
· Monitor industry trends and Microsoft updates related to automation solutions and SPO, evaluating new features and capabilities, and recommending enhancements to knowledge management practices
· Provide written recommendations on Government drafts of executive summaries and briefings
· Provide recommendations for the development of knowledge management practices and assist with their implementation
· Provide recommendations and input on other content and presentations
Required Experience:
· 10 years of experience using Microsoft 365 suite, including knowledge of SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerShell scripting
· 10 years of experience configuring and administering SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, and permissions
· 10 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
· 5 years of experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Microsoft Graph API, and other development tools for extending SharePoint functionality and integrating with external systems
· 5 years of experience of data management concepts, including content categorization, tagging, search optimization, and data governance within SPO
· 5 years of experience querying SPO analytics to consolidate and create reports and presentations demonstrating value of published content
