About the Role :
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of U.S. Marine Corps capabilities? Were seeking an experienced and visionary professional to lead an analysis of the Surface Launched Small Cruise Missile (SL-SCM) technology. Your insights will directly inform leadership decisions on whether to invest in next-generation technologies to enhance Long Range Fires (LRF) capabilities. This is your chance to influence critical military decisions and advance strategic initiatives for the nations defense.
What Youll Do :
In this role, you will oversee and execute a comprehensive Military Utility Study and informal Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities Policy (DOTMLPF-P) analysis for the SL-SCM program. Your work will focus on evaluating the military effectiveness, suitability, and affordability of this cutting-edge technology, as well as its integration into existing and future U.S. Marine Corps operations.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Strategic Analysis : Conduct a thorough study of SL-SCMs potential military impact, measuring its effectiveness in operational scenarios, its suitability for current and future missions, and its cost-efficiency.
Technology Evaluation : Provide detailed technical assessments of SL-SCM, including performance specifications, operational range, and lethality. Compare its capabilities to current LRF systems and emerging technologies.
Operational Impact : Lead an informal DOTMLPF-P analysis to identify and address the doctrinal, organizational, training, and policy implications of integrating SL-SCM into Marine Corps operations.
Decision Support : Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to inform FY25 leadership decisions regarding future Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) investment.

Mandatory Skills and Experience :
Masters degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Military Science, Systems Analysis) and at least 12 years of experience with conducting Fires, Fires Support and Fires Control, Targeting, Fires Effects and Coordination Cell (FECC), Fires Testing, Weapons Pairing, Command and Control (C2), Joint Fires, Long Range Fires, or Joint Long Range Fires or in a related area.
Significant experience in military systems analysis or strategic capability assessment.
Familiarity with LRF systems, emerging technologies, and Marine Corps operations.
Familiarity with the DOTMLPF-P framework and its application in defense planning.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance or higher.
Preferred Skills / Experience :
Expertise in military technology development, operational analysis, and strategic capability assessment.
Experience and / or understanding of challenges and capabilities of Naval Service Integration (NSI).
In-depth knowledge of LRF systems, surface-launched missile technology, and emerging military capabilities.
Experience with defense acquisition processes and program evaluation.
Strong technical writing and briefing skills, with the ability to present complex analyses to senior leadership.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, modeling, and simulation for operational scenarios.
Understanding of Marine Corps doctrine, organizational structure, and operational requirements.
Knowledge of peer adversary capabilities and their impact on U.S. strategic planning.
Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
