Asset Based Lending Monitoring Specialist
Banesco USA is seeking an Asset Based Lending Monitoring Specialist for our Credit Department.
Primary Job Duties
- Responsible for conducting monthly quality control of client’s collateral while identifying opportunities.
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to requirements per loan documents and loan agreement.
- Responsible for monitoring borrower submission of required documentation in connection with borrowing base certificates, purchase order financing, full-doc A/R financing and tax certificate and deeds financing.
- Responsible for reviewing and verifying borrowing base certificate for accuracy.
- Responsible for monitoring all supporting collateral documents and schedules to determine any ineligible amounts.
- Responsible for verifying advance requests are within allowed loan limits and in accordance with loan documents.
- Responsible for timely engagement of 3rd party field audits.
- Responsible for verifying and tracking private credit insurance and Exim-bank insurance.
- Responsible for maintaining an ABL Monitoring Report that reflects Borrowing Based Availability and Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Sales and Collection trends, as well as other relevant indicators.
- Responsible for informing the Lender, Portfolio Managers and Credit Management of any significant changes in the Collateral Borrowing Base Availability, non-compliance, past-dues and of any other significant developments that impact the condition of the loan.
- Works closely with lending personnel to meet advance timeframes and deadlines.
- Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
- Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an Accounting or Finance focus is preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Three (3) years of experience in a monitoring, underwriting or audit role or experience in the ABL credit/loan administrative area of banking.
- Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and the G Suite.
- Knowledge of ABL & Trade Finance procedures and SBA regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Experience with Cync-ABL, Stucky and/or ABLSoft is preferred.
- Must be bilingual: English, Spanish.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
- Basic knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
