Job description
BANG Development is a owned and Operated by a local Subway Franchisee with 17 locations in Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, and Silverdale. We are currently looking for a talented District Manager to add to our team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The District Manager (DM) ensures the overall financial health and brand standard execution of multiple units as well as developing a bench of well-trained talent for each level within the restaurant. The DM drives excellence with day-to-day operations and manages the business by directing and holding management and team members accountable for service and operations excellence, including Subway procedures, policies, and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide leadership for managers by working with each manager to meet restaurant targets and ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain all restaurant staffing levels and continuously develop a successful management team.
- Ensure that correct operational procedures are followed and take corrective action if necessary.
- Coach and train managers and team members for operational excellence
- Support local and national marketing initiatives.
- Complete University of SUBWAY® courses as directed.
- Ensure compliance with standards as set in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual and applicable government regulations.
- Provide fair and consistent resolutions for all restaurant-level activities; being proactive to address employee and customer needs
- Identify areas for improvement and ensure that correct operational procedures are always followed.
- Partner with other DM’s in the company to help identify opportunities to build sales over prior year’s sales achievement.
- Execute uncompromising high standards of local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy, maintaining a safe environment for employees and customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire teams and develop others.
- You must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
- Possess great customer service skills
- Ability to train and develop employees.
- Able to work varied schedules including days, evenings and/or weekends.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Organized, proactive, has excellent time management skills, works well in a fast-paced environment, and has outstanding customer service skills.
- Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, developing subordinates, and quality, service, and cleanliness (QSC) improvements.
- Strong service and hospitality focused leadership style; positive, friendly and upbeat personality.
- Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that contribute toward achieving all key business measures.
- Ability to increase sales and build rapport in the community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed with good time management and planning.
- Foster restaurant environments that are neat, clean, and organized
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 plus years of successful, multi-unit operational management experience in a restaurant or related environment
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and accounting skills and strong analytical/decision making skills are needed
Driving is an essential part of the District Manager position. The said person must maintain a valid driver’s license & insurance with a dependable source of transportation.
Must be physically able to work any station in the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale System/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally

Candidate must pass a criminal history check and pass badging requirements for Naval Base Kitsap Access. A birth certificate or passport is required at time of hire in order to get base access. This is a non negotiable as several of our locations are on military bases.
