BSB is seeking three students from Northeastern University to fill a Roux Co-op position.

Co-ops are a paid six-month month work and learning opportunity for college students to work on a specific project within a designated team applying their education and use their voice to make recommendations to enhance the Bank. Co-ops will work with leaders on important work and initiatives to advance both the student and the Bank. Co-ops will perform work duties and responsibilities in addition to the project to apply their classroom knowledge to a real work assignment to enhance their professional credential, prepare individuals to successfully transition to the workforce and jump start their career. Co-ops will receive onboarding and ongoing education, networking and teambuilding opportunities to build their personal brand, confidence and remain true to the Bank’s mission and deliver on our You Matter More promise to help our employees, customers and communities prosper.
LOCATION: Bangor Maine.

In addition the candidate will:
Participate with a collaborative team to understand and articulate user requirements

Use agile development methods to make and demonstrate progress with programming initiatives
Work within the bank’s technical stack, follow the bank’s software development lifecycle process, and keep security of information top of mind.

Qualifications
- Pursuing BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field and work experience in the field.
- A strong understanding of and experience with web application design & development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Demonstrated abilities with some, coupled with an understanding of many of the technologies in the BSB Tech Stack mentioned above.
- Documentation skills, to include proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- The ability to successfully participate in team endeavors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Relevant employment experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology is a plus.

Please note that this position is based on Maine. Candidate must live in Maine during the co-op, with preference for the Bangor area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, CONDITION REQUIREMENTS, & EQUIPMENT USED:
- General office environment
- Essential functions of the job are performed on Bank premises
- Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required
- Positions will be based in Bangor, ME headquarters, if not co-op students will be able to travel to Bangor on a regular basis to stay connected with Bank leadership, departments and the co-op Cohort.
