- Three years post-secondary education required, or 90 credit hours
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies necessary
- Ability to implement behavioir plans and individual education plans needed
- Experience working in an elementary school setting helpful
- Experience working in a program for children with Autism or emotional disabilities preferred
- Desire to work in a team approach environment
- Willingness to assist with toileting may be necessary
- Willingness to learn and use physical restraint and Safety Care strategies
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques in the area of literacy and mathematics preferred
