The Automotive Assistant Service Manager acts as the primary contact between the technicians, service advisors, porters and Service lanes. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of the automotive service dealership. The primary goal of the ASM is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction and maximize the sale of parts and service for the dealership.
Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Schedule and assign work to automotive technicians.
- Monitor and evaluate technician performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs and services.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repairs, and services.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Prior or current Automotive Service Management experience required
- Must have history in a dealership setting
- High school diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
- Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred
- ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Experience in supervising and managing staff
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Highly professional and dependable
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Good computer and internet skills
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
