Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee Design Engineering Test Lab
- Create and execute testing plans for new product / sustaining product. Current Engineering lab test capabilities include product life cycle testing, thermal testing, vibration and mechanical shock testing, flow testing, and tensile strength tests.
- Recommend and execute lab upgrades
- Create standard testing procedures, protocols, and standard work for validating Banjo products or supplier components.
- Oversee and perform product tests, compile and analyze results, make recommendations based on test results.
- Assist manufacturing in specifying and implementing in line and end of line product tests
- Responsible for safety, cleanliness, and organization of Engineering Lab.
- Serve as project manager for assigned New Product Development/Sustaining Engineering projects.
- Consults with Engineering team and Manufacturing team on product testing plans, results, and potential product improvements

Requirements
- 4 year degree in a related engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Eng)
- 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer working with mechanical products preferred
- Experience developing test plans and procedures
- Experience designing, performing, and coordinating validation and verification testing
- Experience managing projects.
- Read, understand, and interpret technical specification, quality requirements, technical standards, etc.
- Design product tests
- Specify and source test equipment
- Manage and supervise test personnel and equipment
- Perform product testing
- Analyze test results and make recommendations based on test data.
- Maintain modern lab with necessary equipment to support new product testing, comparative testing, life tests, performance tests, etc.
- 3D modeling capability preferred
