What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern - Legal Department position at Bank & Investment Group?
Primary Purpose :
Gain knowledge and experience in a corporate legal department while supporting the department’s goals and objectives with respect to a range of substantive legal areas and through a variety of projects and other tasks. The position offers exposure across all corporate lines of business (bank, mortgage, insurance, benefits, realty, and vacation property management) specific to daily operations.
- Assist with legal support for the Bank’s operations, litigation, and governance matters.
- Participate in line-of-business communications and workflow task management related to documentation and review and drafting requests.
- Contribute to projects related to state and / or federal regulatory and other issues affecting the banking industry.
- Assist Legal Department personnel with the maintenance of subsidiary files, program software, due diligence reviews, and related documentation.
- Obey all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to FDIC oversight, including privacy and confidentiality.
