Job Purpose
The Bank Iowa IT team is a dedicated group of professionals who work closely with all branches and departments in our organization. The IT intern will assist IT staff in technical support duties, as well as implementing solutions, tracking hardware and software inventory, assisting IT and other departments with technology requests via the IT service desk, and training Bank Iowa staff on new and existing solutions.
As this position is an intern position, learning and development of IT skills, processes and procedures are key components to this individual’s success.
Essential Functions
Core Responsibilities
- Assist employees with technology questions/issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues (printers, computers, phones, A/V, etc.).
- Manage inventory of all IT equipment and maintain the log/location of equipment.
- Assist with installing & troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Set up and removal from systems for new and departing employees.
Projects & Initiatives May Include
- New PC and laptop team member upgrades
- Inventory of IT equipment & on-site branch technology reviews.
- Document image processing & workflows.
- Procedure / policy development and implementation.
General Responsibilities
- As this is an internship role, growth and learning will be a continuous process. We expect the associate to be working with a mentor on a regular basis to help further develop technology and soft skills.
- May have access to confidential information about accounts and customers. Protects the privacy and confidentiality of customers, other employees, and work.
- Performs other bank related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Interest in Local Area Network/Wide Area Network structure, client server architecture, telecommunications systems, printers, and vertical software, are all preferred.
- Interns will need to either be enrolled at an upper education college, university, or trade skill, or show proof of registration for upcoming classes within the next 3 months.

- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

Hours of Work & Travel
- Generally, within Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Limited travel to Iowa branches
