Work Locations: Bethany and Cameron, Missouri
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Purpose: Responsible for the growth, quality, and credit administration of a commercial and/or ag loan portfolio.
Specific Job Functions, such as:
· Responsible for the monitoring of a loan portfolio that includes quality, performance, and the ongoing credit administration of loans within that portfolio.
· Responsible for initial collection efforts on assigned portfolio loans.
· Analyze the credit history of applicants and determine their loan repayment capabilities.
· Negotiate credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.
· Make recommendations for loan rates and approvals.
· Develop and maintain interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.
· Evaluate potential customer loan requests and make loan recommendations to management.
· Review new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and make recommendations to management when necessary.
· Provide assistance to and recommend training for new commercial loan officers.
· Develop new customer prospects and business for the financial institution.
· Actively participate in an ongoing business development program by calling on prospective and existing clients to nurture ongoing relationships for lending and/or deposit services.
· Represent the bank in various community- and industry-related activities.
· Keep abreast of regulatory compliance and developments in the assigned area.
· Serves as a member of the Loan Committee
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
· Minimum two years, preferably five, of experience in a financial institution as a commercial and/or ag lender, underwriter or in credit administration.
· Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Strong financial analytical and underwriting skills.
· Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
· Extensive knowledge of lending services and related areas.
· Good managerial, communication, and sales skills.
