Job Description:
This job is responsible for working on the least complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. This job facilitates deployment of technical solution by developing templates, playbooks, and automation used during implementation and consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing services. Job expectations include embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies, contributing to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and providing feedback to the architecture teams
- Follows reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure the design is compliant
- Assists in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
- Assists Technical Analysts by ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
- Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
- Supports an inclusive and healthy working environment
- The Enterprise Job Scheduling (EJS) team administers support of the CA7 and CA11 tool set and tasks and their associated processes.
- Demonstrate technical leadership and provide technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor.
- Lead resolution processes for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Develop programs in languages such as Shell Script/REXX/JAVA/REACTjs/SQL for Automation initiatives.
- Must be able to communicate across differing audiences including technical, managerial and vendors.
- Can develop technical solution requirements and lead individual or small team initiatives. Participate in 7x24x365 On-call Support after proper training.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience with job scheduling, product support and administration with the CA7/CA11 tool set.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables with various time deliveries from days to months.
- 2-5 years with Mainframe z/OS, JCL, TSO, ISPF
- 2-5 years experience required working knowledge of REXX.
- Ability to work closely with clients to resolve Tool issues.
- Mid-level knowledge of IBM Utilities i.e. IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff.
