Essential Functions
Works closely with the Loan Officers and the Credit Analyst/Credit Manager to perform the following tasks:
- Order and review commercial and residential real estate appraisal reports.
- Order and review commercial and residential real estate evaluations.
- Bank administrative user of RealWired YouConnect appraisal/evaluation management system.
- Log and file all financial statements/documents to the bank’s virtual filing system.
- Create tracking items for required financial reporting on commercial customers.
- Complete all external credit checks/audit confirmations for commercial customers.
- Complete requests for credit bureau reports.
- Provides high level of quality service to our existing customer base.
- Assists other employees/departments/branches to promote teamwork and good communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Accountabilities:
- Appraisal Ordering and Review - Works closely with Loan Officers, Credit Staff, and borrowers, to gather sufficient information needed to obtain appraisal bids through RealWired with the Bank’s approved vendors and order appropriate appraisals. Communicates said bids through RealWired to the Officer and prepares bid panel in RealWired to complete bid requests and appraisal engagements. Completes a cursory review of appraisal reports upon delivery, submitting findings to the Lender and Credit Manager where needed, communicating final recommendations to the Officer and Documentation Department and submitting invoices for payment to Accounts Payable.
- Evaluations – Orders external evaluations as deemed appropriate and performs a review of said evaluations. For all evaluations, reports their findings to the Loan Officer and Credit Manager, when appropriate.
- Review and understand the Loan Policy and related lending policies and procedures to assure request adhere to guidelines.
- Obtain training in analyzing financial information, commercial lending, regulations and software systems as appropriate.
- Minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent, with classes in Accounting, Finance, Economics -OR- equivalent (1 year) of experience in a position which includes handling financial statements or appraisals/evaluations.
- General knowledge of appraisal methodology and use a plus.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and the ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Developed PC skills including proficiency and capability in word processing and spreadsheet software
