Responsibilities
Welcomes and provides assistants to customers and potential customers with their banking needs. Provide outstanding customer service while assisting customers with opening and closing deposit and loan accounts, interview and accept all consumer and limited commercial loan applications, answer questions about products and services and resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve. Assist with sales and service issues and questions relating to complicated products and regulations. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to the next level, along with their recommendations.
To assist customers with their financial transactions by providing outstanding sales and service while receiving and processing customer financial transactions, including deposits and loan payments; sells monetary instruments, transfers amounts from customer accounts as directed. Post transactions to customer accounts and maintain customer records, while working within all Federal Regulatory guidelines, Reg CC, BSA, and etc. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
Displays and reinforces excellent sales and service to all customers and employees. Cross-sells all bank services.
Qualifications
- 1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Three to five years of similar or related experience.
- Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and / or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows computers and 10-key calculator; must be accurate with numbers and names.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less in order to properly serve customers if required.
