Main Function Summary:


The Electronic Banking Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support for our Electronic Banking products and services, including but not limited to; ACH, VISA debit card, ATM balancing, wire transfers, online banking, bill pay, remote deposit banking, bank by phone and eStatements. Provide electronic banking support to our consumer customers as well as our Retail and Lending Departments. Process, verify and reconcile the electronic banking transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies, procedures, and banking regulations. Provide support to the Deposit Operations department as needed while complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information. The Electronic Banking Specialist is responsible for all operations related thereto.


Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Three to five years of electronic or operational banking experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank operations, rules and regulations and specialized knowledge of bank services including, but not limited to ACH, Wire Transfers, Internet Banking, Remote Deposit Capture, and ATMs.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage projects. Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex Bank product set ups and trouble shoot any problems which may arise.
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe.
  • Must be customer focused - Desire to serve and act in the best interest of the customer and effectively manage customer relationships.
  • Ability to create written materials.
  • Able to accept & adapt to change.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data/information.


Job Description:


Essential Duties
  • Visa Debit Card/ATM Management
    • Process VISA debit card adjustments and disputes with strict adherence to Regulation E.
    • Process VISA chargebacks when necessary.
    • Process branch debit card orders and perform card maintenance.
    • Review daily card issue queue and ensure accuracy prior to card production.
    • Process debit card disputes and contact customers to confirm dispute details.
    • Process VISA CAMS Alerts -work with Retail and supervisor when there is a debit card fraud activity event.
    • Serve as back up to balance the ATM GL and clear account daily using reports.
    • Serve as back up in daily settlement of the ATM Machines, including ATM deposits.
    • Daily review/approval of ATM check deposits & exceptions
  • Online Banking/Bill Pay
    • Set up and support Bank’s consumer online banking and bill pay customers.
    • Assist our consumer customers via the phone or branch when they get locked out of online banking and need password resets.
    • Respond to customer email inquiries received through online banking portal.
    • Review maintenance reports to ensure accuracy of Online Banking and Bill Pay registrations
  • Mobile Banking:
    • Review daily deposit confirmation emails.
    • Work mobile deposits suspended items daily.
    • Review daily/monthly activity and exception reports.
    • Review daily requests for RDA through Mobile Banking for consumer accounts only.
    • Provide basic operational support to customers needing assistance and work with supervisors when necessary to resolve non-basic operational issues for customers.
  • ITALK (Bank by Phone System)
    • Respond to issues in a timely manner.
    • Review system activity reports.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Capable of learning to use typical office equipment.
  • Performing simple to moderately complex mathematical calculations.
