General function:
Perform the essential duties of the operations department. Assist in the development and updates of operations procedures and manuals to ensure continuity of processes for the bank. Function as a resource for staff and assist in department projects as requested. Duties will include functions not necessarily depicted by your title, nor specifically enumerated in this job description.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Perform Operations Department Functions
- Learn and execute daily, monthly, and annual tasks of the operations department including but not limited to:
- Set-up and review accuracy of new deposit and loan accounts
- Review and update loan and deposit account file maintenance
- Serve as a resource for core operating system and assist in answering staff questions and researching issues
- Balance daily approvals of ACH and Wire transactions
- Perform weekly account payable entries as needed using accounts payable software
- Assist with password resets for core banking applications
- Assist in the completion of loan portfolio balancing and reporting to investor
- Continue education on topics such as core specifications, Business Analytics, and ACH
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies
Daily backup duties and responsibilities:
- Assist other departments with projects, questions, or staff shortages as needed
- Answer questions and perform necessary research needed, including contacting vendors
Professional development and civic involvement
- Participate in professional and civic organizations to further personal development and demonstrate support for the bank.
- Attend State Banking Association training seminars as assigned or requested
