Summary:
Under general supervision, the teller provides excellent customer service by accurately processing a broad variety of transactions in a timely manner. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with customers, co-workers, management, and vendors. Uses opportunities wisely to promote the banks products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Professional Office Support (80%)
- Welcomes and directs visitors and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion and strict adherence to established policies and procedures to maintain bank security.
- Manage risk in every transaction by properly identifying customers to help detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
- Balances and maintains cash drawer to the established limits.
- Processes all transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash tickets and loan payments.
- Processes change orders and night drop transactions.
- Perform specialized tasks such as preparing cashier's checks, issuing and exchanging foreign currency.
- Responds to customer inquiries, may provide transaction history and or statements.
- Attempt to resolve issues and problems with customer's accounts.
- Explain and promote bank products and services to customers.
- Scans work and follows through on end-of-day scanning procedures to ensure work is sent to appropriate area.
- Participates in required training and has the responsibility for following all regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Monitor, identify and report unusual and suspicious activities to the BSA Officer.
Provide assistance to other departments as needed (15%)
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
- May serve as backup to other tellers in different branch locations when necessary.
Perform all other tasks as assigned by management (5%)
