Description
Position Purpose: The main purpose of the summer internship program is to get hands on experience working in various operations of a bank, while having the ability to interact and shadow with employees in the finance department. This position will have the opportunity to contribute towards projects and assignments that will expose you to learning more about the industry. The internship position will have a weekly set schedule, with some flexibility based on the needs of the department.
What you’ll do:
- Receive training in Bank policy, procedures and regulations regarding Bank products and services, as well as exposure to the finance department.
- Shadow team members and contribute to day-to-day functions.
- Complete and participate in projects that support the department overall.
- Participation in the Virginia Banker’s Association Internship Program.
- Perform other tasks as assigned on a day-to-day basis.

Working Conditions:
The individual will be required to be flexible during standard bank operating hours. Business travel may be necessary to attend training opportunities.
