Job Description:
The Bank Teller provides superior customer service by greeting each customer as they enter the bank, answering the phone promptly, and taking ownership of each interaction. They maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude always and use knowledge and judgment to evaluate situations and make sound decisions.
Primary Job Functions:
- Effectively perform all aspects of daily operations, including cash controls, balancing, fraud prevention, customer identification, and the handling of all customer transactions.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Preserves the confidentiality of customer information according to Bank policy.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to the bank's operations and regulatory requirements.
- Counts and balances cash in automated teller machines and night depository.
- Prepares and reconciles daily teller line reports.
- Customer Service, both in person and by phone.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teller is preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workflow
- Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- In addition to possessing the skills necessary to perform the job, the employee must be willing and able to demonstrate these skills by coming to work on a daily basis, as scheduled.
- Available to work between the hours of 9 AM and 2 PM with some flexibility (hours may be negotiable)
