Bank of Hillsboro is a community bank locally owned and operated in Hillsboro, IL with 12 branch locations. We are currently seeking a Commercial Loan officer to join our team in Vandalia, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a current commercial lender or motivated banking professional with 5 plus years of banking experience.

The Commercial Loan Officer delivers industry knowledge and local experience to clients - including corporations, municipalities, non-for-profit organizations, real estate investors and owners with annual revenue from $200,000 to $5 million. The primary goal is to grow and retain profitable relationships within the markets we serve. Under the supervision of the Market Manager and Senior Lending Team, this individual will work to deliver value added solutions to clients while mitigating risk to the bank and adding profitability.

This position works with the Senior Loan Officer to grow and service an assigned loan portfolio.

Detailed Description :

• Demonstrate skills to develop and retain new and profitable relationships in a highly competitive market
• Work with teammates, partners and other professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions to the client that result in a highly satisfied customer experience
• Identify opportunities to cross sell across the banks various products.
• Have outstanding professional reputation, integrity and community involvement
• Service assigned customer relationships by pro-actively evaluating and mitigating risks and opportunities as established by the policies and procedures of Bank of Hillsboro
• Demonstrate responsibility of the credit and continued monitoring of commercial portfolio risks.
• Responsible for pre-underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and credit quality of assigned portfolio working directly with the Market Manager, underwriting staff and Senior Lending Officer
• Manage delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base certificates, portfolio reviews, collection of required periodic financials, annual credit reviews, etc.
