About this job:
The Contract Services BSA Specialist ensures all regulatory requirements of The Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and Anti-Money Laundering compliance programs are met. This role works closely with the BSA compliance department of each relationship to maintain the required oversight of each relationship to ensure efficient BSA compliance programs are in place and meet regulatory requirements.
As a Contract Services BSA Specialist you will:
- Complete Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ AML tasks for the Contract Services Program- such as: reviewing cases of fraudulent activity, filing Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary, and reporting positive FinCEN 314a matches on behalf of relationships.
- Perform due diligence as related to BSA for relationships and ACH Merchants by researching merchants signed with the relationship on an ongoing basis to identify concerns and risks.
- Prepare a report for monthly Board Meetings updating Board Members on any Suspicious Activity Reports that have been filed on behalf of relationships.
- Process Subpoenas that are received by the bank in direct relation to Contract Service BSA items.
Qualifications for Success:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years’ experience in BSA Compliance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. BSA Officer Certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times, in all situations.
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferably Word, Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a highly detailed, fast paced environment
