Provides a markets-based suite of sales and trading solutions to Institutional, Corporate, and Retail clients. Offers a full spectrum of integrated capabilities to deliver leading market insight, risk management, and execution services to issuing and/or investor clients, including access to major global markets across asset classes including: debt, foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, equity, securitization, and commodities. Provides competitive pricing to all clients and seeks out new opportunities with prospective clients. Maximizes profit while prudently minimizing the bank’s exposure and adhering to regulatory statutes.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• UST repo specials experience – product expert who understands US treasury auction cycle, specialness, etc. across bills and coupons securities

• Relative value expertise that can help identify various arbitrages in the money market space

• Fluent  in monetary policy and the interplay between Fed rates (IORB, RRP, etc.)

• Connectivity with the Macro/RV hedge fund space to help increase our relevance in that sector

• Experience onboarding sponsored repo clients and the nuances of FICC VaR and netting methodology

• Balance sheet management experience for a large global bank

• In-depth risk management skills including hedging market risk but including counterparty risk and various book and counterparty-specific stress metrics

• Experience optimizing for RWA, LE, LCR, and other bank regulatory metrics

​Qualifications:

• Typically 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Degree in Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics, CFA preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of capital markets, pricing, and trading/hedging strategies and familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures and various capital markets products.

• Strong understanding of trading procedures and broader regulatory and financial concepts.

• Series 7, 63, and 55 licenses required.

• Strong quantitative analysis, technology and financial analysis skills.

• Strong risk management skills, fundamental analysis skills and leadership abilities.

• Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.

• Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert.

• Influence skills - In-depth / Expert.

• Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - In-depth / Expert.

VP - $250,000 USD

Director - $275,000 USD

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
