Basic Function: New Accounts/CSR Teller will provide a full range of customer services; provide outstanding customer service (both internal and external), assisting with Lockbox Operations, open accounts, perform maintenance and provide service assistance on the teller line.
Primary daily job responsibilities include:
· Consistently deliver outstanding customer service, anticipating customer needs and going above and beyond to ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
· Open all forms of new accounts
· Provide efficient and courteous customer service on the teller line, as well as the desk
· Daily customer interaction
· Processing paperwork to include account maintenance; perform ATM applications, Safe Deposit Box opening assistance, etc.
· Will fill in and act as CSR5, as needed
· Assist the Branch Manager, as necessary
· Verifying teller cash transfers/vault access for cash needs
· Working directly under and reporting to Branch Manager
· Approve, deny and revoke Visa Check Cards
· Assist in monitoring the deficit list, as needed
· Assist in performing the daily NSF list duties, as needed
· Assist in preparing Shipments and ordering coin and currency from Fed, as needed
· Provide Online Advantage Password Assistance
· Accept and place stop payment requests and follows up on related paperwork
· Approves the cashing of checks and withdrawal of funds from accounts (Supervisor Override)
· Authorized signer of Bank Cashier Checks
· Process and approve customer wire transfers
· Process Branch Capture transactions
· Opening/sorting of Lockbox payments
·Overall assistance with Lockbox, to include scanning/look-up of payments/coupons; reports; maintenance, etc.
· Miscellaneous duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Must possess excellent customer service, training skills and communication skills
· Be accurate, reliable, dependable, motivated and able to work as a team player
· Excellent attention to detail
· Able to work under pressure and multi-task
· Be able to analyze and resolve problems
· Demonstrate basic PC skills
Training and experience:
· High school diploma, or equivalent
· Two years of bank teller experience, preferred
· Educated in banking regulations and laws
· Notary Public, preferred
Other position details:
· Exposed to potentially hazardous condition – robbery
Physical exertion requirements:
· Light work involving occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds at a time. Position involves standing, with some pushing/pulling of arm and leg controls and limited sitting.
