SUMMARY
Perform due diligence processes and processing related to BSA functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Upon receipt, review Business Account Questionnaires for accuracy and completeness.
- Review Non-bank Financial Institution (NBFI) and Money Services Business (MSB) applications for accuracy and completeness and perform risk rating analysis prior to submitting application for approval.
- Perform risk rating analysis on all new business accounts opened.
- Perform risk rating analysis on all new and renewal requests for Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) accounts. Maintain lists of all RDC customers.
- Maintain lists of all NBFI and Private ATM customers/accounts.
- Track renewals for MSB registrations and Check Casher permits.
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on NBFI, Private ATM and High Risk accounts according to procedures.
- Recommend accounts for CTR exemption status if warranted. Perform annual exempt account reviews and approve/revoke exemption status as appropriate.
- Research potential suspicious activity obtained through alert review, EDD review, negative news, branch/department referrals or from any other method and present potential suspicious activity to the BSA SAR review team for final determination.
- Complete, submit for approval, and e-file SARs per guidelines outlined in bank procedures.
- Monitor SARs for 90 day refile status.
- Respond to branch/department inquiries.
- Assist other BSA Department duties as necessary including, but not limited to:
- Perform 314(a) database scan as required. Research and report hits as necessary.
- Perform daily OFAC scan and review. Research and report hits as necessary.
- Download and perform OFAC database scan upon notification of updated lists.
- Daily wire review and tracking.
- Daily OFAC scan of IATs.
- Maintain lists and research activity upon receipt of subpoenas according to procedures.
- Review, complete and e-file CTRs within the required timeframe.
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be familiar with all deposit related regulations, receive training on a regular basis as appropriate. This includes but is not limited to BSA, OFAC, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg DD, BPA, RFPA/Reg P, Reg D and Branch Closing Procedures. Employee must follow all policies and procedures as set forth by the Bank as well as any regulations. Employee must also have familiarity with lending related regulations including but not limited to: Reg Z, FEMA, HMDA, Fair Lending, FCRA, RESPA, and Predatory Lending.
The employee must be able to take and pass all the required regulatory training as outlined by the Bank on a quarterly basis.
This employee must adhere to all security related procedures of the Bank including Branch security, protection of customer information and security as it relates to the Bank's internet and technology systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The Position of BSA Analyst II is not responsible for any supervision.

- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Strong PC skills including Excel and Word. BAM preferred
- Strong communication skills.
