Our Dallas Banking Center is in need of a Part Time Bank Teller

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • One year of cash-handling experience
  • Familiarity with computers and different types of software.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Good credit history is considered an essential element for this position.
  • Pass a background check, and credit report.

Schedule

Must be able to work Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and every third Saturday. May be called to work other days when replacing during a an employee's time off.

Hours: 0-29 hours per week.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding their balances, statements, general information, etc.
  • Use a customer database software to verify customer information and answer questions about their account
  • Process deposits, loan payments, savings bonds, cashier’s checks, money orders.
  • Promptly answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Cross-sell and refer applicable bank products via the telephone or to customers in person.
  • Uses different types of software for data entry and bank record keeping.
  • Know of and uphold all bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Computer Usage Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Able to learn different types of software for data entry and banking record keeping.
  • Understands the Bank of Stronghurst mobile application and can explain it to the customers.

Attendance Requirements:

Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled and on time. Employees are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure, or other absences from scheduled hours should be avoided.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and scanners.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours
  • Requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary
  • Requires the ability to hear, speak, and signal people
  • Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and English
  • Requires manual dexterity, typing, and the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
  • The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
