POSITION SUMMARY
As the Mortgage Loan Processing Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the work flow of the Mortgage Loan Processors, in addition to processing Mortgage loan files and maintaining a loan pipeline. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the processing area of the Mortgage division. The Mortgage Loan Processing Manager will meet with processors to review individual pipelines to ensure they are on track with each loan. You will also create and maintain checklists for all steps of loan processing. As a representative of the Bank, you are required to present a positive and professional image at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of FHA, USDA and VA loan products required
- Five years of experience in mortgage loan processing, both in-house and secondary market loans required
- Experience in analyzing credit reports, calculating income; W-2, self-employed and 1099 borrowers, review asset documents and experience in structuring loans as well as restructuring of loans preferred
- Compliance experience / knowledge including but not limited to TRID, RESPA, state / federal regulations, etc. preferred
- Knowledge and experience in analyzing property appraisals preferred

Handle the loan pipeline and ensure an efficient and compliant flow throughout the loan processWork and communicate with the Production Sales Team to ensure top notch internal and external service.Acquire the files necessary for property and loan documentation, including the following : verification of employment, evidence of insurance, payoffs, tax transcripts, credit supplements, condo questionnaires, subordination requests, and title work to assure a smooth loan processEffectively manage the day-to-day operations of the processing area of the Mortgage DivisionOversee the work flow of the Loan Processors and closer to assure completion of work by required deadlines, equal distribution of work and assisting with questions as neededAssure timely communication and implementation of any changes in operations with all employees of departmentOversee training of new employees assigned to department and assure completion of their 90-day action plan checklist by observing new employees properly completing each function or duty before signing off on the action planWork with Underwriters on conditions of loans submitted when there are questionsWork with Processing Team to ensure follow up and quick resolution of any processing related post-closing issues, as requested by post-closingWork with Processing Team to correct concerns raised during internal or external audits to make corrections to closed loans where issues originated in the original processing of the file and take corrective action to ensure the issues are addressed for future filesAssure compliance with lending regulationsRegularly communicate with the Mortgage Operations Manager on any employee issues, customer issues and operational changesProvide coaching, mentoring, and feedback, to team members on a real-time and continual basis and via two-way communicationSelect appropriate team members whose differing strengths can be maximized to create a highly productive teamComplete cross-training and development training with team membersProvide effective employee onboarding, and ongoing training and development opportunities that reflect both the employee's and the bank's needsDevelop clear guidelines, goals and timelines while working alongside your team toward a common purposeEstablish an environment of continuous improvementListen to feedback and resolve any issues or conflictsEmpower team members to improve their confidence, job knowledge and communication skills, and identify, discuss and relay employees' interest in promotional and career development opportunitiesApprove timecards and benefit time for direct reports ensuring proper coverageConduct regularly scheduled bi-weekly one-on-ones with teamEnsure job descriptions are current and reflect actual duties of position, to ensure skills, abilities and experience is appropriate for current / and or securing new employeesMaintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirementsActively support the ongoing development of a culturally diverse workforceComplete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficialPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with management, lenders, customers and employees. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time is common. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional travel may be required.
