System Analyst- Network Security

POSITION SUMMARY

As the System Analyst-Network Security, your primary customers are Bank employees. The main focus of the job is to proactively manage systems and applications utilized to support bank services, security, and transaction processing. These responsibilities include release management, configuration, patching, security monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues with key applications on a daily basis. In this role, your focus will be directed at effectively managing network computing systems, mobile devices and infrastructure components as determined by the Network Administrator for Bank of Tennessee to ensure optimum security and performance of all assigned systems. As a representative of the Bank, you are required to present a positive and professional image at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technology/computing-related field; or an equivalent of relevant education and experience preferred
• Three years of experience in IT Network Security preferred

COMPETENCIES

• Provide Tier II/III support for the Help Desk
• Be familiar with Windows PCs, firewalls, routers and switches
• Experience with updating firmware on computing systems and equipment
• Experience patching Windows operating systems and third-party applications with patch management software
• Familiarity with Apple IOS devices
• Familiarity with mobile device management systems
• Experience with anti-malware software and management
• Familiarity with IPS, cyber security and event logging systems and management
• Maintain proficient computer skills and possess diagnostic skills and abilities
• Possess professional communication skills and be customer service oriented
• Be an active team player with analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities
• Be able to interact with all levels of employees and management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately perform backup configurations, IOS and firmware upgrades as needed
• Effectively manage network devices, computing systems and infrastructure components for Bank of Tennessee, including servers, PCs, iPads and iPhones, to ensure optimum security and performance of all systems
• Effectively troubleshoot issues with IT devices and infrastructure components and software
• Determine and implement a resolution for issues based on approval
• Provide support and security recommendations for business applications running in the environment
• Effectively manage and deploy security applications such as LT Auditor, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Endpoint Central, DefenseStorm, Idera, Carbon Black, CODA and other systems, and ensure these applications and systems are being used effectively
• Effectively run periodic vulnerability scans for Bank of Tennessee and review and remediate vulnerabilities
• Present concerns of vulnerability scan results to the Network Administrator and determine a resolution, and then complete resolution in a timely manner
• Run quarterly user password audits and document results
• Take an active leadership role in remediation of Bank of Tennessee security assessment and audit findings
• Assist in developing new and maintaining current IT policies and procedures related to network security
• Periodically research new security products to enhance the security posture of Bank of Tennessee and take all necessary steps to implement completely and correctly if such products are approved
• Assist Network Administrator in implementation of network architecture changes and additions such as new locations, redundant connectivity solutions, and business continuity projects
• Answer questions and solve issues on assigned On Call weekend
• Provide support with daily computer operations and answer related questions
• Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
• Actively support the ongoing development of a culturally diverse workforce
• Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with Bank employees, management and vendors. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position, frequently operating a computer for extended periods of time, is common. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common, and mobile office equipment, such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional travel may be required.
