POSITION: Real Estate Loan Officer – Grand Mere Location
JOB SUMMARY:
The Real Estate Officer is responsible for the solicitation of new residential loan applications from the regional real estate market and soliciting depository business from new and existing customers. The Officer will establish a referral network in the region including Manhattan and Junction City markets. The officer will also be responsible for working closely with customers who come into the branch with questions about mortgage loans. Candidate will work closely with loan processors and maintain contact with customer throughout closing process. Applicant will be expected to answer questions and make recommendations on bank products for customer. Position will assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Training and Experience
- 2 years’ experience in Mortgage Origination preferred.
- Strong working relationships in local Manhattan real estate market preferred
- Working knowledge of Jack Henry and Encompass software is a plus
- Ability to obtain NMLS registration required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- BS or BA degree in Business or Finance preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
ESSENTIAL OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solicit new residential loan applications and depository business from the Manhattan regional market
- Attend local functions in the Manhattan market as an ambassador for the bank and mortgage department.
- Establish and maintain effective business and working relations in the Manhattan real estate market
- Work closely with local real estate professionals
- Complete Construction Inspections for and prepare draw requests
- Gather initial information and submit to loan processor
- Work closely with loan processor and maintain contact with customer throughout closing process
- Maintain and develop new and current client base
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Preference for Candidate to live in the Manhattan Market
ADA REQUIREMENTS:
Requires use of computer system with normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and numbers. Requires use of voice telephone. May require ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, work in an enclosed room or area, load/unload materials or set up rooms for meetings or special projects. May be exposed to or use various office chemicals. May require ability to use office equipment such as 10-key calculator, copy and fax machines, etc. May require work outside of normal work hours and days. May require valid drivers license and both in and out-of-state travel.
